Make the Most Out of the Holiday Season
The holiday season is officially around the corner! With schedules filling up and days getting shorter, it’s easy to sit back and assume that now isn't a good time to level up your skills or network, but this is actually the prime time to set yourself up for success going into the new year. Here are a few things to consider:
- Network with intention. Some companies slow down hiring in December, but professionals in your field are more likely to respond during this "quiet" season. Reach out, connect, and schedule those coffee chats!
- Polish your portfolio. Whether it’s your resume, LinkedIn profile, or work samples, take this time to make sure they’re ready to shine when hiring picks up in January.
- Set goals for 2025. Take 30 minutes to map out what you want to achieve in the first quarter of next year. Knowing your direction will keep you motivated through the holiday hustle.
🎯 Pro Tip: If you’ve hit a wall in your job search or haven’t had interviews recently, now is the time to refine your materials. Remember, it’s all about presenting yourself in the best light.

Thanksgiving Week
Upright Education will be closed next Thursday and Friday in honor of the Thanksgiving holiday! That said, Taryn's calendar is open earlier in the week and you are more than welcome to book a coaching session with her.
If you are in an active cohort, there are no sessions next week! While there won't be any new content, this is a great opportunity to review topics, tools, or technologies that you'd like to reinforce.
