Why Is It Important to Complete My Program's Prep Work?

Completing your prep work before is a crucial step in setting yourself up for success. While it’s not mandatory to finish before orientation, we strongly encourage you to make your best effort to complete it when possible.

Why Prep Work Matters:

  1. Sets You Up for Success:

    • Learners who complete their prep work tend to perform better throughout the bootcamp. It helps you get familiar with key concepts, reduces stress, and prepares you to tackle cohort projects at a higher quality level.
  2. Exposure to Key Concepts:

    • The prep work is designed to introduce you to important ideas and thought processes that will be covered in the bootcamp. If you get stuck or have questions, don’t worry—everything you encounter in the prep work will be thoroughly covered during the program.
  3. Reduces Stress:

    • Starting a bootcamp can feel overwhelming, but completing the prep work can ease that transition by helping you feel more comfortable with the material ahead of time.
  4. No Pressure If It’s Not Done by Orientation:

    • If you haven’t finished the prep work by orientation day, that’s okay! We still encourage you to complete it when you’re able to, as it will only help you stay ahead.

Get Into the Bootcamp Mindset:

Think of the prep work as a warm-up that helps you get into the right mindset for what’s ahead. It’s an opportunity to start thinking like a developer, designer, data analyst, or digital marketer before the fast-paced bootcamp kicks off.

By completing your prep work, you’re not only preparing yourself for the material to come, but you’re also setting yourself up for a more successful and stress-free bootcamp experience. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to your instructional staff for guidance.
