Attendance Policy: What You Need to Know

Maintaining regular attendance is key to your success in any bootcamp program. However, we understand that sometimes life happens, and you may need to miss a session. Below is an overview of our attendance policy and how you can stay on track!

Attendance Guidelines

At Upright Education, participants are allowed to miss up to three program sessions with prior approval from staff. A program session is defined as one or more hours of instruction on a given day. This flexibility is in place to accommodate unexpected situations, but we encourage you to make every effort to attend all sessions to stay up-to-date with the material.

What Happens if You Miss More Than 3 Sessions?

If you miss more than the approved number of sessions without prior approval from your program instructor or program manager, you may be withdrawn from the program. This is to ensure that all participants are able to meet the learning objectives of the bootcamp and progress successfully.

Important: If you need to miss a session, it’s crucial to communicate with your instructor or program manager ahead of time to request approval.

Communicate Early and Often

Your instructors and teaching assistants (TAs) should be your first point of contact if you need to miss a session or if you’re facing any challenges that may impact your attendance. When they are aware of your situation, they can work with you to create a plan that helps you stay on track with your learning.

In addition to reaching out to your instructors, you can also notify the Learner Success Team about any attendance concerns. While your instructors are your main point of contact, we’re always here to help if needed.

Staying on Track

Missing a session doesn’t have to derail your progress. By letting us know in advance, we can help you stay on top of your assignments and learning objectives. Our goal is to support you in completing the program successfully, and open communication is key to making that happen.

If you have any further questions about the attendance policy or need support in planning your absences, don’t hesitate to reach out!
