Expected Behavior

We ask all learners to actively contribute to a healthy, engaging learning space by:

• Participating Authentically: Engage in discussions, activities, and group work in a way that shows commitment and fosters community growth.
• Being Considerate and Respectful: Exercise thoughtfulness in both speech and actions, respecting the diversity of perspectives within our community.
• Prioritizing Collaboration Over Conflict: When facing challenges or differences, seek solutions through collaboration before escalating to conflict.
• Maintaining a Safe and Inclusive Environment: Avoid language or behavior that is demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing.
• Respecting Shared Spaces: Our virtual and physical spaces may be shared with others, so please maintain a respectful atmosphere at all times.

Unacceptable Behavior

The following actions are strictly prohibited in our community:

• Harassment and Violence: Any form of violence, threats, or demeaning language, including discriminatory jokes or material that is sexist, racist, homophobic, or ableist.
• Violating Privacy: Sharing others' private information or personal details (e.g., email addresses or identity without consent).
• Sharing Confidential Conversations: Respect privacy in channels devoted to personal identity and do not publish screenshots or quotes without explicit permission from all parties involved.
• Inappropriate Contact: Do not engage in unwelcome physical contact or personal insults, particularly those based on personal identity (gender, race, religion, etc.).
• Unwelcome Teaching: Avoid offering unsolicited explanations or corrections; instead, ask if the person would like guidance first.
• Disruptions and Intimidation: Deliberate disruption of sessions, intimidation, stalking, or online/in-person following will not be tolerated.
• Encouraging Misconduct: Advocating or supporting any of the above behavior is also prohibited.

Consequences for Unacceptable Behavior

Behavior that goes against these standards may result in:

• Immediate Compliance: Any request to cease unacceptable behavior must be honored immediately.
• Disciplinary Actions: Depending on the severity, actions can range from warnings to temporary suspension, or even permanent expulsion from the program without refund.

Reporting Unacceptable Behavior

If you notice any behavior in your live sessions that you feel may be unacceptable, we encourage you to let us know. Please report any such incidents here so we can address them in a timely and appropriate manner.
